I have great pleasure in giving Ben a warm welcome to Infused. I have been aware of Ben and his football gaming talent for over a year now having first seen him at PES6 events. He has since made the move to FIFA09 which far outclassed PES09 in many peoples eyes.

Ben has made a very strong start to the EA MeetYourMatch series and should make the grand finals. He will also be representing Infused at i36 in the EA £10k tourny along side Dan (and quite possibly me and Adz!).

Ben had the following to say about joining Team Infused:

I'm really pleased about joining Infused. FIFA is a game I enjoy playing and I hope I can deliver at a more professional level. For the past few years i have been mainly focused on PES but i much prefer FIFA this year. I've had some early success already, beating i35 champion chrissyB at MYM (meet your match) in Birmingham and i will look to build on this at future events and hopefully make a big impact at the £10k i36 competition.

Dan, Infused's other FIFA player had the following to say about Ben joining:

I'm very happy and excited to welcome Ben to the team, he's shown considerable potential since his switch from Pro Evo and after seeing some his performances both online and offline, it wasn't a hard decision to take him on! Having a training partner of Ben's calibre will be a huge help when it comes to training for online and offline tournaments.

Today we are happy to announce the Infused PES 2009 Challenge. Team Infused aim to get more involved with the community in 2009 and after PES topped the prize list at Gameland it seems the perfect place to get started.

The Infused PES 2009 Challenge Cup will work as follows.

Rules:

Format: PS3

Entry Fee: 20 Pounds Sterling

Prize Fund:

1st Place - 250 Pounds

2nd Place - 130 Pounds

3rd Place - 70 Pounds

*All prizes listed are subject to 32 entrants.

Entrants: 32

Group Size: 4 players

Match length: 10 Minutes in Groups (15 minutes in Knockouts)

Teams: Clubs only

Player Condition: Green Arrows

Stadium: Wembley

Other settings: Night Time, Sunny, Fine

There will be 4 groups of 8 players in the first phase of the tournament.

Each player will play a home and away game in their group. Each game will be worth 3 points and the top 4 players will advance from the group to the knockout stages. In the result of a tie, goal difference will be the decider. The knockout stages will be 2 legged 15 minute games. Away goals will not count.

Entrants will be selected from an invite list and groups will be seeded. The seeding list will be released after all entrants are finalised.

Tonight Infused COD4 are sitting at the top of the ESL Pro Series league thanks to a 13-5 victory over Sypher earlier this evening, however in order to remain in this position they needed Team-dignitas to beat Reason-Gaming.

Team-dignitas vs Reason-Gaming match was aired live on ESLTV at 10pm which saw dignitas taking a 13-10 victory over former League leaders Reason-Gaming.  The results tonight have also guaranteed Infused qualification to the ESL Lan finals.

Well played to Infused who should be approaching Gameland in Rome next week with strong expectations of placing well.

Infused COD4 will be on ESLTV tonight playing recently formed FatGames. FatGames formed from ex-TLR players and has an impressive lineup. Last week they beat COD4 greats dignitas and should provide a refreshing challenge for our team.
